“You will be my witnesses…”
The God of Israel, the creator of all things, has acted (astoundingly) to rescue a lost and broken world through the death and resurrection Jesus. He has formed a people (the church) to bear witness to this good news. Jesus puts it like this, “As the father sent me, so now I send you.” Mission is not an option. We have been called to go out into the world and bear witness to the saving rule of Jesus in all that we are, say, and do.
