Worship: We Exist for God

God is the creator and redeemer of all things. There is no sphere of life that does not come under his sovereign rule and kingly authority. Therefore, we seek to live every aspect of our life, including our vocation, family, care for the earth, and cultural engagement to the glory of God.

Word: We are shaped by Scripture

The Bible is not merely a collection of moral stories nor a launching pad to talk about contemporary issues. Rather, the Bible reveals the true story of Creator God and his plan to redeem his creation through the death and resurrection of Jesus. By immersing ourselves in this narrative, we come to know God, ourselves and the world. Therefore, scripture plays a central role in our preaching, teaching, and corporate worship.

Grace: We are being changed by the Gospel

The gospel is not the A,B,C but the A-Z of Christianity. The grace we discover in Jesus has the power to produce on-going change in how we relate to God, self, neighbors, and the created world. Therefore, we reject moralism and religiosity and seek to apply the gospel to our hearts and every aspect of life.

Community: We share life together

God has acted in Christ, not merely to save individuals, but to create a new community who will embody his grace, righteousness and love. Therefore, our desire is not merely to get people into a worship service, but help them become connected with the life of our community.

Neighborliness: We pursue the common good

The church doesn’t merely exist for itself, but to serve the common good. Therefore, the last thing we want to be a good church that keeps to itself, but a people who give ourselves in sacrificial love for neighbors and local/global community.

Mission: We are sent into the world

God has formed his church to bear witness to the good news about Jesus in the midst of the world. Therefore, we place a high priority on seeing the gospel go out to new people and places throughout our city and world.
